What is it?

Cranio-sacral therapy (CST) is a very gentle method that supports and encourages your body’s own wisdom to express health and well being.

This hands on technique looks at the person as a whole and recognizes the body as having a continuous interaction with the world and our environment.

This reaction is expressed by internal movements, the rhythm of which is fundamental to our health.

What are it's origins?

Cranio-sacral therapy was developed over a century ago in America by osteopaths who brought to light the 'primary respiration' that operates on the whole of the human body.

This primary respiration is essential for the wellbeing and health of the person.

In the biodynamic approach the body is seen as a functioning whole, the tissues, fluids and vital energies forming one interdependent mechanism as opposed to a group of seperatenesses.

In this whole an active intelligence guides the treatment process. This phenomenon is palpable to a well trained therapist and is encouraged to express itself to mobilize the body's own fulfillment of health.
